Trail of One Hundred Giants

In April, 2000, President Clinton chose to sign the proclamation which created the Sequoia National Monument in this grove of one hundred old growth giants. A short wheelchair accessible trail wanders through the Long Meadow Grove with more than 100 sequoia gigantea trees towering above it. Although not as well known as the groves further to the north this one is one of the most dramatic and has some spectacular representative examples of the "big trees"..
