Mariposa City - A Gold Rush Town


			The Mariposa Court House was built in 1854 on land donated by John Fremont. It is still in use today and much of the furnishing dates from the earliest use of the building. Over the years this room was the scene of legal battles for the control of millions of dollars in bullion.
