Stewarts Point. This family owned business has been "in the family" since it's establishment in 1868 just after the Civil War. It is a General Store of the old fashioned kind and the front porch is one of the best places in the vicinity to learn what is going on in the area. |

The one room school house to the left is typical of similar buildings that were in use all through the area during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They were located in areas where the children from the surrounding farms could walk to school. |
