Marin County
Point Reyes National Seashore - Tomales Point and the Tule Elk Herd
Keep your distance from the 500 strong tule elkherd, especially in mating season. The bull elk do get a little goofy trying to protect their cows from all intruders; however, don't let worries about elk spoil the wonder of seeing this herd in its habitat. There are few places on earth more wonderful to spend a few adventurous days with a loved one. You'll find accomodations at every price range and a warm country welcome even, at times, from the elk.
