Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens

The gardens were founded in 1961 by Ernest and Betty Schoefer. They are non-profit. Admissions fees, plant sales and donations provide funding for the operation. Volunteers provide staffing and do much of the day-to-day work. The gardens are open daily except for major holidays.
