Anchor Bay

There are some delightful coves all along the coast in the vicinity of Anchor Bay. A good number of them are ideal as the locale for a picnic. Several of them have been purchased by the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy. The Redwood Coast Land Conservancy (RCLC) works to preserve for future generations the natural environment and sustainable land use of coastal watersheds from the Navarro to the Russian Rivers, to provide public access to scenic land, and to educate the public regarding the value of our natural heritage. Here at Hearn Gulch, north of Anchor Bay, the RCLC has improved a trail down to the beach. To learn more about this non-profit organization of local citizens please click here.
