Schooner Gulch |

Schooner Gulch is located about eight miles north of Gualala on Highway One. The parking area is located at mile marker 11.4. Be sure to follow directions when parking in that there is not much room for cars to pass safely on the highway and visibility is less than ideal in both directions. There are two paths leading toward the ocean from the parking area. The southern path leads to a very nice beach at the mouth of the gulch. The northern path has a sign saying that it is closed (presumably because the trail is considered unsafe. The stairs leading down off of the bluff to Bowling Ball Beach have been washed out.) |
