Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

Bristlecone Pine Forest

The Ancient Bristle Cone Forest is located on the crest of the White Mountains on the eastern border of California in the Inyo National Forest. Many of the Bristle Cone trees in this forest are over 4,000 years old and the Methuselah tree is thought to be over 4,500 years old. Juniper, Pinyon Pine and Limber Pine can also be found in the forest. The White Mountains also offer a spectacular view of the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.
