Grand Canyon National Park - North Rim - Walhala Glades - Summer |
|||
Wahlhalla Glades is located high on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The area was farmed by Ancestral Puebloan People for more than a century - from 1050 A.D. until 1150 A.D. More than one hundred individual structural sites have been identified in the Walhalla Glades. Most of the small buildings are believed to have been used for food processing and storage by people who farmed there, but at least a few are believed to have been summer dwellings for people who moved back down into the canyon when winter came. |
