Cameron Trading Post |
||||
A suspension bridge was built across the Little Colorado River in 1911 and the Richardson brothers established a trading post on the southern bank of the river. Hopi and Navajo indians came to the post to barter wool, blankets, and live stock. Today Cameron offers fuel, lodging, dining, and Native American art to travelers moving north and south on Highway 89. The trading post also serves travelers entering/exiting the Grand Canyon from the east. |
