Petrified Forest National Park - Puerco Pueblo Ruins - Summer

Puerco Pueblo was first occupied from about A.D. 1100 to 1200 and then again in the 1300s. No one knows for certain what happened to them when they left but it is believed that they were probably the direct ancestors of the present-day Hopi and Zuni people.
